CHAPTER SEVEN
THE LAW OF
CONNECTION
"Alone we can do little.
Together we can do much ”
— Helen Keller
Highly successful people usually look at themselves honestly and see what it is that they enjoy most and what it is that they are a whole lot better at than most other people. This is an honest analysis. They are mostly the visionary even though they might not be good at marketing, selling, or anything else. They may also be good at a whole lot of other things which are not particularly relevant to their vision but can be useful in their personal life like swimming, golfing or cooking but that is beside the point. The point is that they first of all identify what it is that they are extraordinary at—not just good at, but extraordinary. The next thing is that they find out what it is that they really enjoy and cannot stop doing? All that matters is what they are better at and what they enjoy doing. Like most things in life, there is a very simple explanation for this and if you are a “Life Changer” like me, you are always looking for ways to beat the odds and not strengthen the statistics.
So, why do businesses never see their 10 year anniversary? The explanation for this is rather simple. During my research, I interviewed former business owners, managers as well as new business owners to get their view on this. Four key reasons were revealed. Firstly, it is evident that
